SOOO my package finally arrived and received 3 beautiful Ghost babies<3

Here's a link to their photos, ever since my first ever purchase of mantids I was just disappointed from the whole experience, so it was a big deal to try again with a different breeder and honestly this makes up for everything

I love them so much and can't wait to see them mature to adults<3

Bout the time I got the larger FF propagating in numbers I needed to feed, the ghosts were taking house flies for the most part. Small moths drove them nuts from L4 on. Guess after so many flies they are more than ready for a change in diet, LOL

@Zeppy44 lol, now that you mention that, I do believe they are getting tired of fruit flies themselves, I heard you could feed mantids honey I want to see if that's the case

@BahHoney as a treat is fine but not as a food source. Be careful with honey! Most of what is sold in store is very adulterated and may not be good for your mantis. Use only Raw honey, unfiltered if you can get it. Some mantis also enjoy ripe banana. I do suggest peeling first with bananas.

Bananas... interesting. I guess they lie when they say mantises are purely carnivorous.

Super cute.  Do you know what instar they are?  I had my order of 4 L2 ghosts arrive today as well, about the same time you started the thread actually, so that is really coincidental!  I've only ever kept Chinese so these are so tiny and so unique looking.  I already love their wiggle.

@Ocelotbren They are probably in their 3rd :D  the breeder had them offered when they were L2 but they molted before being shipped but they are still so tiny :0

I just started recently and also started with chinese :)  they are so cute although the ghosts are a lot different, so much fun~

@Bah You can usually find unfiltered raw honey at health food stores. I actually just picked up a little single serving pack made for hiking for only a buck that is a perfect size/price.
