Does this ooth look like it has hatched?

ReturnedOothA.jpg

Looks to dark to be alive? ...the color looks like it rotted or something...what sp? (But it could just be bc I've never seen this kind of ooth before)

It looks quite old and weathered and hatched out to me, but it could be that it's supposed to look that way for whatever species that is.

You people are all quite funny. Especially when referencing our great source from EU. Seriously it is a C. gemmatus ooth. I had sold it on Ebay for a small price because it is so diminutive. I sold a previous one for a few bucks more. It apparently hatched or I would have heard a rant from the buyer. This one created an Ebay case against me for selling something that I misrepresented (fertilty with guarantee) and it did not hatch. The approximate due date was June 7. The buyer kept it for three weeks after he opened his case against me asking for a replacement or refund. I told him I would give him a refund, but Ebay took $15.99 from me (my Pay Pal account) to make sure that I had the funds for the refund.

He returned it to me and demanded payment. I looked carefully at it through my 10X loupe and it surely looks hatched, or spent. The condition when I sent it to him was fresh an unopened. I contacted the resolution center and the agent I talked to on the phone looked into the communications from each of us and ruled in my favor, returned my funds to my Pay Pal account, and removed the bad feedback that I had been given by the buyer. I agree that the ooth looks too dark after his incubation, but it has several holes on either side of the "zipper" and that in my experience usually means that hatchlings had exited through these openings. I wanted to see what you all think, but apparently the ooth looks like "ka ka" to many of you and you have apparently not had a small ooth from this species of Creo. Thanks for your consideration. I stand vindicated. By the way, one of the Russian words for feces is "kakashka", another is "ficali" and the third word I know is "govnowa" which looks a little like Governor but it means "bulls..t

Later,

Rich

If it was fairly smooth with no opening when I mailed it to the buyer, what else can cause the present openings?
