Have these egg cases already hatched?

Left, definitely. Right, I can't see well enough to tell, but it seems very dark for one laid this fall, so I'm guessing it has hatched, too.

Thanks for finding these, though. Inkie told me she thinks the left ooth is European and the right is bordered.

It appears they have but I have seen some like the one on the left that had not hatched yet. The one on the right looks really old and hatched.

Actually I think the left one is a Bordered mantis ooth, and the right one I have no idea. Don't the nymphs hatch through the holes down the middle?

The one on the left is likely Stagmomantis limbata, while the on the right is Iris oratoria.
