It seems that the activity of the forum has decreased significantly compared to 3-4 years ago. Where are you guys lol

People are starting to migrate from the forum to other platforms I believe.
I see.
But I thought this site was the largest forum related to mantis,
is there another platform of this size worth moving to?
Thankfully, some Facebook groups still seem to be very active.

Since Covid...:ROFLMAO:. You just got here! Unfortunately this place was bought and sold and not for the better. I haven't logged on in years but I see it's still hanging on by a thread. At least all of the old posts are here.

All the various free formats have killed the old forums, not just this one. It used to happen from time to time but then the free formats would start charging and things would go back. But the free formats have now been free a long time and there seem to be more and more. Not sure how the business model works.

Yes, it's something common happening to forums unfortunately. It seems like people don't recognize the value of our format though. It's perfect for archiving information.

Yeah, I stopped checking in here regularly a few years back, even a year or two before the pandemic. High school freshman me was too embarrassed to have a hobby that could potentially freak people out, even though pretty much everyone I knew either didn't care or even thought it was cool and interesting. Pretty sad to see how much the community shrank, but I can't blame anyone, I left, too. Also very disorienting not to see Peter as the admin anymore, lol. I really appreciate those who stayed and kept this place alive through the years and those who joined us recently, it's nice to be back and still see a happy community.

I poked around on an anole group on FB. They know a thing or two about UV light. That's a requirement for anoles. I get the impression we know more about feeders.
