I joined over a year ago but I never introduced myself. My name is Matthew and I'm 21. I live in a wonderful bug haven in south Mississippi, USA and I enjoy capture and release, and bug keeping. I plan on taking advantage of my short winters to breed feeders, mantids and other bugs for my side income in the near future. Any input or advice would be appreciated.

As far as mantises go, what do you have or plan to acquire?

The main ones I want to breed are giant rainforest mantis, ghost, dead leaf, Chinese, and orchids. As for feeders, fruit, blue bottle flies, and green banana roaches. Start out small and sell to locals and internet with caresheets.

Good luck. I also want to breed and sell. How hard are green bananas to keep? I would prefer something that can't escape and live in the house. I have had bad experiences with the common cockroach.
