Just got a Idolomantis Diabolica  (Devil's Flower Mantis) 

I'm experienced but willing to learn any tips would be appreciated

Theres alot to learn about idolos. Heres a care sheet to get you started:

These mantises need mesh in order to hang on a enclosure properly. Their feet are made different and cant hold on to glass etc.

They strictly eat flys and nothing else should be fed to this mantis. (correct me if im wrong)

Welcome! Metal mesh can mess up their tarsi when they are larger.

Welcome to the jungle! Is this your first mantis?  i would never have been brave enough to get an idolomantis as a first of all things. Sadly I can't help you much with idolos as I have never kept one out of fear I wouldn't be able to give it the right conditions
