These look like Mantis religiosa.

And I guess these mantids are from the United States because the youtube channel says Country United States.

Welcome to the forum from a fellow Floridian, what part of FL? (holy alliteration in that first sentence! :p )
I am in the most north western corner of the state, Pensacola.

Your welcome. :D There are several subspecies of Mantis religiosa. One subspecies lives in Poland but I have read that mantids went extinct there. It is Mantis religiosa polonica. The there are still Mantis religiosa polonica living in other areas. http://mantodea.speciesfile.org/Common/basic/Taxa.aspx?TaxonNameID=1671'>http://mantodea.speciesfile.org/Common/basic/Taxa.aspx?TaxonNameID=1671 I have read that the Mantis religiosa sinica live in China and other places. http://mantodea.speciesfile.org/Common/basic/Taxa.aspx?TaxonNameID=1661'>Here I think the "Notes" say that Mantis religiosa religiosa live in South Africa and Afghanistan and other places. Amazing eh? I read that Mantis religiosa siedleckii live in Indonesia. You can see a picture of an adult male http://www.mantids.de/2.html'>here if you scroll down a bit, I guess it is from Indonesia because it says Indonesia. I found this just now. I do not know exactly what it says. http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mantis_religiosa_siedleckii'>http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mantis_religiosa_siedleckii. Found this too, http://insects.tamu.edu/research/collection/hallan/Arthropoda/Insects/Mantodea/Family/Mantidae.txt'>http://insects.tamu.edu/research/collection/hallan/Arthropoda/Insects/Mantodea/Family/Mantidae.txt
I actually had no clue, I figured it was just another North American species. Thanks for the abundance of information, i'll have to read through it! :)

Welcome! :) I joined this forum not too long ago myself.

Mind if I ask you about your mantids' habits? I know Tenodera sinensis is too aggressive to keep communally... but how do Mantis religiosa and Stagmomantis carolina compare in terms of aggressiveness? Would they be quick to cannibalize each other if kept communally?

Again... Glad you've joined the community! :)
Thanks! I'd say sinensis and carolina are almost one in the same, except for the fact that sinensis just likes to drop dead randomly. I have however kept a few religiosa in a large tank together without any issues, but I was feeding them everyday. I've never tried this with the other two though.
