Hi all! I am a 31yo from KY. I've always loved mantises but never thought about keeping them until recently. We have two dogs, a small collection of tarantulas, and a betta.
My daughter is about to turn 7 and loves all sorts of creatures. She's been getting into helping me feed my Ts and is always capturing the poor souls she finds outside and making habitats for them. I thought we would get a few mantises for her birthday and let her keep them. We're starting with a Giant Asian (golden) and a Ghost. Very excited!
