Hello! My name is Eric Daly. I am 42. I live with my wife,two daughters 6&8,and my son 4 in Naples, Florida. I purchased my first mantis(budwing). I love him! I didn't realize an insect could have so much character. I'm hooked! I've learned so much from Moonlight Mantids YouTube channel and reading articles on bugs in cyber space website(where I purchased my budwing) by the way thanks Peter. I hope to learn even more and share my mantid experiences. I would definitely like to get into breeding eventually, but first I'd like to start a collection. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum. I like Peter Clausen's caresheet on mantids. Eric Daly, you may be able to find a few interesting species found in FL, for example, Gonatista grisea (grizzled bark mantis), and Stagmomantis floridensis.
