Hello everyone my name is Matt, I'm brand new to keeping mantids but, I have had multiple species of beetles in the past. Besides mantids, and beetles, birds are my true love. I am an ornithologist by trade (5 years prior field, class exp, and currently authoring a bird guide for part of West Virginia.) and I am now half way through my bachelors for wildlife biology. After my undergrad I plan on going for Ecology in grad school in hopes of receiving my phd. and teaching college biology in the long run.
My first mantid is a Miomantis Paykullii which I just received today and was ordered from mantispets.com. My book should be here in a week or so, that will be a big plus.
