I'm a 41 yo insect enthusiast. I spent part of my childhood in Panama and have always loved insects. I'm also a certified horticulturist, editor, artist, media production assistant, and most recently worked as a research assistant at the AMNH in their Invertebrates Department. I did fieldwork and worked in the genomics lab. Amazing job. Concurrently I ran an amateur Entomology Meetup in NYC--which was a lot of fun. I'm now a SAHM with two beautiful girls, but hope to return to the workforce in a year or two.
I have a small phasmid/phylliida collection living in a mixed arthropod terrarium without issue. I have two Madagascar hissing cockroaches in there as well. I'll be adding isopods next wk.
