How Mantis will help to make threatening posture?

as in the picture below

It is a small species acontista multicolor, I want to shoot

Pointing and poking at the mantid sometimes works, I would try a small paintbrush or something soft so the mantid is not harmed. Sometimes it works if I bring my closed fist close to a mantis, and suddenly open and spread my fingers before them. Unfortunately, I have a couple of mantids that just won't be intimidated, so good luck. :lol:

I just tried using my hand and finger to bother one of my Stagmomantis carolinas, and she just looked at me like I was nuts and attempted to climb up on the offending fingers. Let me know if you ever get a threat display, cause I don't have much luck with my "tame and spoiled" mantids. :lol:

That should do it. Another popular trick is to put her in with a chicken. Make sure that you have done all of your metering calculations and are ready to shoot right away, though. You may only get one chance.
