I have just caught the bug. No, not a mantis. Well, yes a mantis, but I didn't catch it. Anyways, I recently bought an orchid mantis and I am hooked. I was so happy with how she's doing I had to go back and get a shield, and a Chinese mantis. I would love to try my hand at breeding the Chinese mantis if I can find a male.

Hello and welcome to the forum

Check with Peter on BugsInCyberspace, he has Chinese mantids (Tenodera sinensis) and may be able to get you a male of a proper instar. Also depending on where you live you may be able to find them outside in the plants too (I find hundreds myself).
