My name is Brandon, I'm from Portland, Oregon. I love animals. I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses, and I've had pythons, geckos, rats, hamsters, Guinea pigs, anoles, and all kinds of critters throughout my life. I've always had an interest in invertebrates as well, especially mantids. After doing a ton of research on good starters, I settled on a ghost mantis (I named her Gengar). I got her late last month from U.S. Mantids as an L2, and she molted on the 4th of July and again this past weekend. She is happy and healthy and beautiful, and I'm head over heels with keeping mantids now! I think next year I may try keeping a few of them communally.
