Hi everyone my name is Gemma. I love mantises. This started for me when I found a female European mantis on the ground when I was on my way to work last year, I am an after after school teacher. I found her sick and weak. I took her to the school to show my kids. They were all so gentle just watching it in a temporary enclosure. I took her home and inquired help from my insect friends, it was at the dying stage and eyes were black. I gave her honey water often and kept her on flowers and plants inside the house. I tried to get her to eat but she could not chew well. Regardless she lived for 2 weeks. This early summer I bought 4 Chinese mantises Tenodera sinensis species.
