Hey everyone!
I'm Bex, and I'm looking into getting my very first mantis! Currently just in the putting together an enclosure stage, but I'm pretty excited to bring home a little Ghost Mantis when the weather gets a bit warmer.
I figured this forum would be a good place to connect with other mantis owners and learn a bit more about these awesome little guys. I've always been the Bug Enthusiast in my family (my relatives will text me a picture whenever they find something and don't know what it is), and I'm super excited to finally have an actual pet insect. I also have a (toothless) cat, a whole bunch of plants (mostly hoyas- I'm a little obsessed with them), and a wife who is also very excited to be bringing a mantis into the house. In the future, when I have the space, I would love to add a Crested Gecko to my household, and in the meantime I'm also contemplating bringing in a Jumping Spider- I just love their cute faces and how they hunt.
