I'm not quite sure if this is the place to put this question BUT, I figured this was the egg section, heh.

Loki laid an ooth tonight, she's never bred (I raised her since a nymph so I know what sort of parties she's thrown heh) but she laid eggs. I've heard of mantids doing this, I'm just not sure if it's fertile or she laid eggs for nymphs that will be unfertilized in the future.

I'm kind of hoping it's not a fertile sack for preservation reasons but if it does have little Loki's in it, I'll put it outside properly.

Eggs that are laid without mating are almost always infertile, but you should incubate it for a few weeks just to be sure.

What species is she? And not almost always, just always infertile if never mated. Unless it is a species that reproduces parthnogenically.A few parthnogenically reproducing species are Brunneria borealis, Orthoderella ornata, and Theopropus elegans.
