Greetings from Anaheim California,
About two months ago I got my first mantid, a Giant Asian mantis, at a reptile show... and I was hooked (my wife says obsessed). They're such fascinating creatures, like little aliens. Since then I've acquired a Texas Unicorn mantis, a California mantis (that I rescued from Knott's Berry Farm), and a second Giant Asian mantis (the first was green, the newest is brown). The species I'd really like to get next is the Cat Eyed mantis. I tried purchasing one via the internet, but the poor things didn't make the journey.
I just wanted to briefly introduce myself and say thanks for inviting me to join your forum. As someone who's new to keeping mantids I'm sure it'll prove to be a valuable resource!
