How do I raise house flies?

I got some house fly pupae that Hibiscussmile was nice enough to throw in for free, but I have never raised them xD. I'm wondering what do I do with them. Do I just leave them in the vial or something until they emerge? Thanks for any help!

I'm no expert, but I think the spikes can survive in the fridge for a week or two. If you just want to feed them off you could pull out what you need and place them in your mantis enclosures, the flies will hatch in a day or two and be gobbled up. Pull more from fridge as needed. If you actually want to start a housefly culture one of the many vastly more knowledgeable forum members will have to help you. I just lost my experimental drone fly culture and haven't tried house flies just yet.
