Good luck with the new job! Did you end up ordering more panthers?

I'm done with finals and done with school until the Fall semester. Going to enjoy my summer off.

I was also looking into new cage options because I'm expanding my collection...I ordered some terrariums but I still need several more enclosures. I was thinking of either converting some clear plastic boxes I saw Amazon or possibly building some from scratch out of wood, plexiglass, and fiberglass window screen...or something, still considering design options.

This week is going to be eventful (regarding mantises anyway.) Today 4 new mantises came in the mail - 2 giraffe mantises and 2 African Twig mantises. The other package I got today was a whole bunch of different feeder insects including some hornworns that I wanted to see if they like...but if they don't I can always let them turn into moths. I've got 3 Exo Terra terrariums coming in tomorrow as well as some fly pupae. I found a method to culture houseflies that isn't supposed to involve rotting meat or poop, the medium is supposed to arrive tomorrow too. I am also expecting 4 more mantises which will probably arrive on Friday, two Eremiaphilia and two Camelomantis.

I have 4 ghost ooths incubating now and the male ghost is still hanging in there even though he's due to drop dead any day now from old age. He's 7 weeks into adulthood and males only live 6 to 8 weeks. I'm going to try to mate the orchids again, last time I had to abruptly stop things because she was eyeing him in a way I did not like. I was just waiting for the larger sized roaches to come in so they would keep her busy much longer....and now I have them so pairing attempt #2 is tomorrow.

@Predatorhousepet

I am getting 6 more. I am looking into petco cages, I figured Bud could use a bigger cage. I'm gonna have to get some more cages soon as I dont have 6 for the new ones. The others seem to be doing ok in what their doing. Glad finals went good.

I feel tired but I am going away a couple of days with my whole pet family (dog, 5 mantids) I am waiting for my hubby to pick me up. I hope for nice warm weather. Maybe I can show my mantids to the ppl there to show how cool they are. Think some ppl will be surprised how big Cochise has grown.

Think I will keep it the  to the mantids I have at the moment ;)

@Jessie: congratz on your new job.

I am good. My non-profit, Give Me A Home, has a big craft fair event on Saturday, and it is stressful getting ready. I got ten new budwings and a male Egyptian pygmy from Patty, yesterday, and I will be getting two Brunner's mantids from her next Wednesday.

@Little MantisHave fun! I love camping!

@Predatorhousepet and @MantisGirl13 : Thanks?

My stuff is packed, except the mandtids, have fed the feeders who are going to stay at home. I still need to move Cochise to her travel home. I still need to put the others in their cups in the travel box.  I will do that as last. Then they don't need to sit long in the dark.

Hubby just told he is coming late. He will call before leaving then I will prepare the mantids and dog (Laste walk) for the journey.

I am back home with my mantids. I had a good time. first 2 days it was cold. the last 2 days was nice and warm. A heater in the caravan rulez the first 2 days for me and the mantids. caravan was nice and warm. I could show my mantis family to my family and friends, that was cool. I promised my nephew that he would get a nimph if Cochise gets babies. His mom said he has to pay for every care the mantis need. That was ok. ;)

:)  I am glad that you had a great time camping, and that Cochise and Bob and the others were kept nice and warm.

Me and my mantids don't like 1 thing: cold ;) The new caravan is tested now and I think it is a good one for the next 10 years ?

Weekend! and nice weather outside. Thinking what to do: do some stuff at home, or going for a walk on the market.

what are your plans for the weekend?

I am at Sandy Cove, a christian resort in Maryland, USA where I camp for the summer.

you took your mantids with you too? I don't know how many mantids you have.

Do they have christian services at the resort? or other activities?

I made somthing for my dad, might write some fanfiction, clean, hang out with my mantids. Stuff like that.

I had a lazy day too. I just sat around and swam in the pool. Not much. One of my little Brunner's died. She was only L2!
