Okay! So I'm going abroad from December 31 to January 7. I won't be able to feed Chili from that time and most of my friends are entomophobic and can't give Chili her prey insects. What can I do to ensure that she stays fed?

Feed her a lot before you go to where she is really plump and she should be fine(I remember that she was a older nymph right(?))... just make sure to spray her good before you leave.

If you have fly pupae you can always leave those in her enclosure... they hatch in 1-4 days.

I do not trust fly pupae. I had a bad experience with them before with a previous mantis. Basically what happened, is the fly pupae started wriggling and the previous mantis ate it, cocoon and all. Let's just say it didn't end well... for the fly AND the mantis.

Well as long as you beef it up before you go it should be fine for a week.
