My 1st mantid, Chinese I think. About 45 days old. Witnessed molt when I got him at about 30 days old and seemed to happen overnight. Has been active and feeding on FF. Now he has been hanging upside down from the screen since Friday and won't eat ff. he will grab them but then drop them. Been misting cup daily. Located in living room. So room temp 68-75. I'm guessing he is preparing to molt.

How long should I wait before trying something to help? I've read about placing cup in moist bathroom should I try that now? Should I offer honey?

Thanks

he may need a good drink, other than a nice warm misting, leave it be, they cannot eat when molting and the older they are the longer the molt takes. Try not to disturb it or bump the house.

Spike finally molted after 5 days. Saw him wiggle out of his skin last night. He is still hanging in the same place so I'll wait till tonight to throw some flies in.
