How many molts till adult?

I've been wondering how many molts my mantis will have till he becomes an adult. How many molts does a (Chinese) mantis go through.

Obviously with the questions I'm asking, I'm a total noob. Sorry ;_;

Males molt less than females. They mature faster.

Once they're adult, we don't use L anymore. We just call them adult. L is "instar" in English and only refers to nymphs.

Really? I haven't noticed that with my Chinese Mantises. I've had a couple times I raised up a male and female from around the same hatching and they seem to grow about the same rate (give or take a week) with the same amount of molts. :blink: Anyways, I have 7 sheddings saved from my current female Chinese and she is adult so that's my guess. XD
