how many more molts to expect

one of my mantids is just now showing tiny wing buds from the last molt. I was just wondering how many more i should expect. also im not sure what species it is i need to post some pics. its around id like to say three and a half inches and bright green. oh and my last computer fried its good to be back!

Three and a half inches! Can you measure him closely? Or is he about that long or around that long? I am guess he is a Chinese Mantis. Sounds like he is pre-sub-adult or younger.

For females, wing buds can be seen for 2 molt cycles, so you most likely have an L5 female, so expect 2 more molts to adulthood.
