How Many Ooths Does an Average Chinese Mantis Lay?

Did a bit of searching but could not find the answer. I was under the assumption that most mantises lay 2 to 4 or more ooths in their life? Is this true for Chinese Mantises? My 3 bred females and one unbred all died on me weeks after laying their first and only ooths. Is my luck just abysmal or is this normal, are they perhaps just reaching the end of their lives?

From my own experiences with Chinese mantises they seem to lay from 1-4 ootheca. Most of mine usually lay 1-3 on average.

yea, 5 or 6 they will lay every two weeks.

1-4 are usually big hatches, then they start getting sloppy by 5-7 and hatch rates drop off.
