Most molt 6 times to get to L7 or 7th instar same thing, some species need a additional molt but it's rare(female Idolo).

The first molt is like 1-2 weeks and every one after takes a little longer, the last molt to adult can take a month or more on average.

Yeah my ghosts molt like every two or three weeks, and they have 6 molts for the males and 7 for the females. Idolomantis males have 7 molts and females have 8.

oh yea, dont forget that the moult-intervals also depend alot on how much they are fed. If you have two nymphs of different ages, u can try to 'speed' one up so they reach adulthood together..

if im not wrong, smaller species also tend to grow faster
