I think it is Stagmomantis californica I searched for pictures of them and they look alot like my mantid. Thanks

If you found it in New Mexico, then it is one of two species:

Stegmomantis limbata

Stegmomantis californica

S. limbata tends to be the more common of the two species. Looks like you have a female and will need a clear view of her hind wings to tell the two species apart.
