the ones ive seen that my friends keep are same color but ive seen pinkish/white and few other tones so i think its quite variable

Younger nymphs seem to usually be pinkish/white while older nymphs seem to be brown like the one in the picture. But I do not know. I have just seen pictures.

few more pictures i managed to get of him/her..they are quite calm compared to other mantids

Pink/purplish white are L2 and 3, tan is L4 and up, adult is full color, L1 are black, this never changes so your's is L4 or higher.

At least in the later instars, the male's anttenae is longer and more ornate than that of the female.
