Nice photo!

Are they always that orangeish?
the ones ive seen that my friends keep are same color but ive seen pinkish/white and few other tones so i think its quite variable

Younger nymphs seem to usually be pinkish/white while older nymphs seem to be brown like the one in the picture. But I do not know. I have just seen pictures.

few more pictures i managed to get of him/her..they are quite calm compared to other mantids

 
Pink/purplish white are L2 and 3, tan is L4 and up, adult is full color, L1 are black, this never changes so your's is L4 or higher. ;)

 
At least in the later instars, the male's anttenae is longer and more ornate than that of the female.
