I don't know if it is safe to cut something that big. It is a carnivious plant? Yes? It could turn on you

. Nepenthes are nice plants, I would like some, but it'll be difficult to keep them without a greenhouse I guess. You can buy them in hanging pots here, looks very nice.Schloaty

Ant, I built a 6'x4' x 6' (tall) indoor grow chamber in my basement. Get this - for less than $50!
Hibiscusmile, as to how you cut a unique Nepenthes....well, it's easy. Unique up on it!
And please pardon the workout cloths. I tought karate & kickboxing earlier that evening.
etb99, depending on the kind you get, some are very challenging. But some, like N. x 'Miranda' and N. x 'Ventrata' (the two kinds I find at Home Depots and the like around here) are not bad.
Just try to keep them in a more humid area during the winter than the general 10% most of us experience due to heating.
