Indian Stick Mantis: How Does It Eat?

Look at this! I mean its raptorial arms are long but they are soooo skinny plus the very end part of the arm is super tiny so how is it supposed to grip anything?

You'd be surprised how strong little mantids are. Brunners have similar raptorial arms and they can take down fairly large prey, compared to the mantis.

Yah I have had brunners before too, but their arms aren’t nearly as skinny and small at the ends as this!
