Edit- Forgot to mention you can try sticking one of your female's outside in a screen cage and let her pheromones do the rest of the work. You might be lucky enough to call him back, or another wild male in the area. I know I've heard another member or two having luck catching native males that way.
Sounds like your best chance at getting the Chinese back.

My sister named her Shield 'Nibs" after those candies. lol

Lol he was missing most of his claws when I got him. One claw all was gone but half of the of the top part, so he couldn't catch anything with it. The other claw he was missing half of the lower part but could still barely catch food with that claw. He also had some feet missing. So basically he was moving about with nubs for limbs Amazingly by the time he reached adulthood, he had regrown everything and you would never know he had these issues when he was younger. :p
