I've been a HUGE fan of John Carter since I was in kid (and I think Carter was president). I am also a big fan of director Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo, Wall-E).

They've done a fairly shabby job of marketing the film, but I have faith the film is going to be fantastic!

If you haven't seen the trailer, here's a link:

I hope the film does well, so we'll get to see MORE quality products (oh, poor "Serenity"... maybe Avengers will make enough to spark a "FireFly" sequel. Hope spring eternal).

See JOHN CARTER - in theaters next Friday!!!

some how I missed John Carter as a kid. I do remember Jimmy, but not John.

since Sporeworld likes John Carter so much, and the fact that we all know he will develope a new mantis cage based on the movie, I guess I'll have to go see it. :punk:

I'm surprised there hasn't been more about the release. I went to Disneyland for leap day and saw a movie poster and not much else about it. AT DISNEYLAND??? You would think it would be plastered everywhere, but it was not. It looks interesting.

Hadn't heard about Hyperion - looking it up right after I hit "POST".

And, sorry if I confused you - I LOOOOOOOVED Firefly/Serenity!! I think the only thing they did wrong was making the trailer look too much like the 5th Element. "Girl kicking butt on monster-ish people - didn't we see that one already". I know a lot of people who would have seen it if they didn't make that mistake. Or if it had said, "From the team that brought you "Buffy" and "Angel"..." or something like that. Ah, well.
