I now am up to six of these things. I am hoping for at least one sexed pair. I guess I will have to join an arachnid forum now. How large will these get? Also, how much food is good for them. I just add a couple of flies at a time and when there are none left alive, I'll add some more. A couple of them have molted. some of them have orange spots and some have white spots. I'll have to see if the orange spots change to white in the next few molts.

Any information is appreciated. Any interest in buying or trading???

I ended up with 3 pairs. 2 males were eaten before any action. I guess the females were hungry. Oh well. One male did seem to do the deed and was eaten for good measure. The female seems to be laying eggs in a thick web at the top. What do I do with them? How long to hatch? What to feed the babies(if I get them)? Do I leave the female with them or remove her when she's done? I also caught another male today and have put him in with one of the other females (well fed). He did his arm waving and they had some interaction, but no mating. He is now at the top of the cup and she's at the bottom. Should I leave them together? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I need to know what the babies will eat and when they should hatch. I only have hydei cultures and may need mels. I have no idea what size they'll need. I don't want them to hatch and die because I didn't have the proper food. Do I need to separate the babies or can I leave them together? Will they eat each other or tolerate one another as siblings? Will there be just the one sac or do they lay multiple sacs? Will one mating be sufficient for later sacs viability? So many questions.

Would anyone be interested in these? I hope I can offer some if I'm successful. Anybody?

I am interested as I am about to get some Phidippus regius

Let me know if you are successful.Good luck with them.

I would say probably wingless D. mels would work for them. An older culture with smaller flies, even better.

Congrats! I have probably 8-10 P. audax myself, but they will be finding a new home with KitKat here soon, as I just don't have room/time for/interest in them.
