Just moved to San Diego - new to hobby

Hello!

Later today I will (hopefully) be picking up a ghost mantis for a vivarium I've made for display at work.  I just moved from San Francisco to San Diego and don't know much about the area.  If there are any other hobbyists or breeders around San Diego, don't hesitate to get in touch.

At some point I would like to set up an orchid mantis display since I am an orchid collector and think they would make a cool addition to just the plants.

Welcome! Ghost are great beginner species in my opinion.

Indeed there are other members that are in San Diego and surrounding areas, they should find your post eventually. Regarding a Orchid mantis (Hymenopus coronatus), I would recommend you wait on that as they require more care than species usually suited for beginners - see the caresheet here.
