Kinda depends on what kind of mantis. Might be right size for some, others so small they would never find food. The care guide for your species should give you help along with Jgods advise

It looks great! You may be opted into hand feeding him every few days until he gets a little bigger. but BOYYY when hes not hunting that's quite the mansion  ahhaha

Yuppers. Should be fine. As Mantis_M cautioned, be sure it can find food to eat while youngin.
