I just got an L4 Spiny Flower Mantis yesterday, and today he isn't really responsive. He still moves his head if there's a loud noise somewhere, but I've only seen him do this a couple times. I've been gently touching his legs and abdomen with no reaction. He's pretty fiesty so far so I don't understand why he would just let me do this.

He ate yesterday so I'm pretty sure he isn't molting. He's just been constantly upside down on the top of his cage though.

Could he possibly be too cold? Maybe that's a stupid question but I know they like it 80-85° and overnight it got down to 70°. I have a heater on now though.

Edit: After making it warmer he seems more responsive but still a bit lethargic?

Edit: Yea he was just cold haha.

Thats ok honestly. Spray the cage lightly with water and keep him hydrated, also he might be molting soon. Those temperatures are fine, i would not reccomend to get him any hotter than 85. My flower mantises had mixed moods (scared and skiddish, calm, still, etc) all sounds fine.
