Hi just wondering what the largest mantis species is because I have been told both giant Devils flower mantis and then also gains Asian mantis so thoughts tword it would be apriceated

Heterochaeta are the longest I believe. But, they dont have the massive bulk of afew others. Hierodula Majascua are quite bulky.

Idolo's are not the largest nor bulkiest, they're about the same as the Chinese mantis, but less bulky.
Check out the giant shield mantis or mega mantis.... however both are rarely available.

Probably Rhombodera megaera are the biggest and bulkiest from what I've seen. My idolo is also pretty huge but she is so fragile lol. Also megamantis is pretty big but more like slender and long. Not as slender as heterochaetas.
