looking for breeders in toronto,canada

You say "down here" as if Canada is southern or something :lol:

Lots of breeders ship internationally from US or UK, just check around the classifieds board.

As far as easy to rear / hearty, the common breeds like Chinese and Religiosa are a good starter species, though not very "exotic" looking.

They make up for it in personality, though.

A good entry into raising mantids is to buy a "cup o mantis" from Rebecca at Mantisplace.com

Inexpensive, lots of babies, hearty species, what else do you need

Hello,

I am from Ottawa Canada and I have a few very interesting species.

What I have as species are Shield mantids, Phyllocrania paradoxa mantids, wahlbergii mantids, and Deroplatys lobata mantids

in a couple of months I should have some ooths and nymphs available. If you can wait till than I will let you know.

I also recommand Yen Saw from Texas, I have ordered mantids from in in the past and was very satisfied with the service and mantids he sent me. The only problem is at this time of the year it`s risky to order mantids from other countries.

If you have any questions about anything I`ll be happy to help another fellow Canadian into this hobbie.
