Male Chinese Mantids/ What Next?

Hello,

While Artemis' life isn't even half over, I am curious whether there is anyone who has a male mantis who will be ready to mate by about Thanksgiving. I could ask about pricing, but Thanksgiving is so far out there that I don't want to worry about pricing.

Also, after I (hopefully) raise Artemis' brood, I am curious about which species I should try next. I would like something exotic looking, easy to raise, and medium sized or large, so then I won't lose it.

personaly, I love ghosts the best.

a med size mantid that is super easy to raise. they can be kept together in a lager enough enclosure and eat everything but their brother/sister.

they seem to like flys the best and when young that's the best food to offer.

let's also not forget how they just love to dance for you. ^_^

creos are another choice.

they can be quite agressive toward any food item. I had some that would catch a falling cricket before it even hit the bottom of their cup.

they are also a med size mantid but require their own deli cup by L3 or L4. yet they are easy to raise and feed and mine seemed to love to watch TV with me.

unicorns are a large mantid. they are good eatters and I've kept a bunch together without issues.

they seemed to love crickets as much as the flys so feeding was never an issue.

this is another good starter mantid regardless of what type of unicorn you get.

texas unicorns were far less shy then my Sibylla pretiosa.

Go unicorns!!! Got to love unicorns. Firstly they are communal! They eat anything and they are beautiful.

I looked into all three mantis species and I chose ghosts which seem to be quite interesting so they could be something to show off to my friends. Also, with the container I already have, there shouldn't be too much trouble to keeping it.

Also, I could divide the container in half and put ghosts in one side and creos in the other!
