Mantid Fear or Warning

Greenie , an adult Tenodera female expelled a large pee puddle ( 2 CC's) when she came into view of another L6 male . I wonder if this is a fear or warning display. ....  S

Hmm, well I do notice that mantids will stretch their abdomen when displaying. Perhaps some excess fluid escaped when she stretched out.

@Sticky pheromones can't be detected by us. It's most likely excess fluid that escaped during a display.
