Hey guys, long time no see. About a year ago I bought and raised a Giant Asian mantis, who since has died of old age, and I am looking to get a few more.

Can anyone point me toward a list of species good for beginners?

;) good to see u back! U know I like the asians, but the mios are easy, as are the parvas, tiawans, centrallis, dead leafs, orchids, ants, sheilds, and really all the small species, u just have the hard job of deciding

I started with giant asians and ghosts. I feel both are easy. In a matter of weeks of looking at pics and videos of others exotic mantids I just jumped in to "harder" species, and found out they aren't so different. They do have some different needs but it sounds like you have the basic skills needed and this forum for info.
