Mantis Aggressiveness

The thing is that my Chinese mantis and my friend's were raised from birth to adult in captivity and still bit us.

Ohhhh okay then how should I handle them?

Now I am not a pro... but I do like playing with my mantis.. I use one of those bamboo wooden skewers ... Just put it in front of them and they climb right on... I cut mine skewers in half so they are not so long...

I often do the same thing, we have some dowels from the hardware store (3/8"), cut to maybe six or eight inches. It works well to give them a nice surface and not pressure them too much.

Plus if they really want to stay on the stick you can just set it in whole back in their habitat instead of having to push them around.
