Hi there! I'm new to this forum and just got myself a nymph ghost mantis. I've been caring for him best I can and feeding him with fruit flies. However, all pet stores in my area have run out of them completely, leading me to make the poor decision of feeding him an ant.

It bit him on his front left pincer which has left a bump he has been trying to clean. I have gotten him water and I am now allowing him to rest. Is there anything I can do for him?

Give him some honey water and put honey water on the wound.

Yeah do what @MantisGirl13 said. honey is a "medicine" that can be used with sick and injured mantids. Maybe next time you feed an ant: remove the head so it can't harm your mantis.
