Metallyticus splendens

Metallyticus mantis from Cameron Highlands, Malaysia. This is the female, the male is smaller and has more blue. Both have a great metallic sheen (hence the name!). They are eating small cockroaches but like to stay hidden. I am told that the nymphs are very small and feeding them will be a challenge! The female is quite skittish and prefers the quiet life.
