Mikael/Slan from Sweden very negative!

I wanted to let everybody know about my bad experience with Mikael/Slan...he goes by two different names but has the e-mail [email protected].

I have waited a little while to post this in case he could not reply for some reason but it has been way too long.

As with everybody I do business with I check them out first. I knew of a few peple who have done business with him before but they were cheap deals compared to mine, and I got taken advantage of. I will admit I was stupid for not checking out this person further. :evil:

I was "suposed" to get 12 shield mantids as part of a trade. I sent him $160 or so in insects plus $40 shipping. The same day he "supposedly" sent me 12 mantids, but he had two excusses. His first one was about his postage authorities took them....so he "sent" another set of mantids and they never came for two weeks. He told me he would "gladly ship another package" Nothing ever came and I tried to contact him for weeks but with no avail.

Please stay away from this person...as I have learned the hard way. :x

Oh man sorry to hear that. somtimes people from other counties cheat us. try to deal with people in u.s.a. if you buy outside of the country buy from the uk. The uk has trustworthy buyers/sellers.

I would like to share my experience trading with Mikael. This one is probably too elaborated but i want to get into the details. On our first trade, we agreed to ship express on live mantis. We both shipped the live mantis but he did not go for express mail and so the parcel was late, the package was poorly packed too so none of the mantis survive the trip while the parcel i shipped out via express arrived at Sweden in timely manner. He was impressed with my shipment and wanted to make up his mistake by sending me some wild collected oothecae. I agreed and after waiting for it for a while, he asked me for some spider eggs, so i went out and collect some spider egg case and sent him the second shipment (which he told me later it was infertile??) hoping he would appreciate my gesture. After a while, he told me he received some ootheca, However, he keep holding to it until a long while before finally shipped out the oothecae. Upon receiving the parcel, i awared that most of the oothecae have hatched, i assumed he was not aware of it so didn't want to blame him for it. All in all, I think Mikael is always busy but still resply to my e-mail, but his ability to provide a good package/service is questionable.

I agree with YEn, I also send a good number of inverts, in exchange for some Roaches.but never came in and he offer to send me a replacement but I got tired of waiting for it.

"Credit" to Mikael. One of the ootheca he shipped long time ago actually hatched...... unfortunately i have no idea what species it is but glad it did hatch.
