I have some mites in my enclosure. the are attacking baby crickets but seem to be unable to reach the mantids. should i worry? will mite paper hurt my mantids? what should i do?

on a side note, yes. i am itching all over just from watching the poor baby crickets trying to get these buggers off. :(

Attacking crickets? Never heard of that. Disinfect everything very well with a bleach/water solution. If worried about a reinfestation put down mite paper. Mite paper won't hurt mantids. Set their enclosures on it.

HaH! not gonna happen, they are hiding

Mites need some moisture / humidity to survive. Crix can shed the attached mites unless adult. If you manage to dry everything out and not kill the crix, you should be able to get rid of them. Good luck.
