10 little in first hatch and another 4 in second time....

I have heard that a diet including pollen is very helpful for the adult female of this species to produce ootheca with high hatch count.

Awesome photos love how they change from orange and black after harching into one of the most beautiful species of mantis. Is the initial orange and black camouflage a form of ant mimicry to avoid predators?

Congrats!!! I love orchids. I have several. I tried breeding them the other day but she killed him. Second male i've lost in the last two weeks. They're pretty but mean little buggars! I have two more adult males and two adult females. One has funky wings tho so won't breed her. I have two subadult females.

Very cool that they mimic the assassin bug, i thought ants because i've heard that some insects mimic ants in their juvenile forms as protection but mimicking an assassin bug is cooler.
