Mysterious Moss Mantis

Hello Everyone,

I been browsing through internet last night and found this interesting article about a Moss Mantis (Pogonagaster tristani)

This is the first time I seen this species and I must say it looks really neat. I hope that one day someone will be able to bring some ooths or nymphs to the hobby.

Yeah that one is pretty neat. I think there are some others that have a moss theme.

I just read about that a couple days ago. I think it's one of the coolest mantids I've seen, I mean, look at those "mossy" growths on the back of the abdomen. As I'm getting into this mantis hobby, there are more and more fascinating things I learn every day. I used to think there was only one praying mantis - the "regular" green and brown one, lol.

That's awesome! While the spiral like antennae make it look cute, those 3 additional spikes on the end of each grasper are intriguing! It gives a more menacing look.

Its an awesome little specie....and when I say little, I mean it!

Cool! I wouldn't mind keeping some of those. It would be nice to know more about them.
