Hello all,

My family and I are new to having matids. We have a adult female Griffin and a nymph ghost mantis.

I've raised many of both species you have, and both are great for beginners. I found the Griffins (Polyspilota griffinii) are great for keepers who enjoy larger mantids. The Ghosts (Phyllocrania paradoxa) are one of my favorites due to their personalities and traits if hand tamed. :) Some Ghosts if not handled much tend to avoid contact at nearly all costs  and are skittish.
