This is my beautiful new Zealand mantis female who is the second mantis I have ever had and the first I've ever had reach adult. Now she's the first to lay an ooth! It looks a little tiny and I was never able to find her a mate, so I know it's likely not fertile. Though I read that new zealand mantises can sometimes/rarely be parthenogenic. So I've tried to encourage this and I'll treat the ooth like its fertile anyway. Good experience at least.

Here she is:

Oh really! Awesome, may I ask from where? Its one of my favorite species and I haven't been able to find them since I got her. I wish I could have found her a mate, or maybe I still could!
